Arlington Heights Condo Site

A new site dedicated to Arlington Heights Condos has been launched. This site will include details about each condo neighborhood that is larger than 40 units. The reason for the cut off is that there is not reliable information to be gathered about many of the smaller communities.

Information will include photos, number of units, amenities, if there are garages, size of units, and more. Market data about these neighborhoods will include closed sales, number of active listings, number of pending listings, and more.

The goal is to provide an in depth look into each condo community to allow buyers to make an informed decision. Arlington Heights Market Update 9-29-08



The above chart shows the months of inventory at the end of each month. As you can see as of the end of Aug there was 13.6 months of inventory for single family homes in Arlington Heights. This is down slightly compared to last year during the same month from 14 months of inventory.

Ways to save a few bucks each month

Everyone can use a few extra dollars each month with prices for just about everything increasing much faster then wages. Found this post about Money Saving Tips for around the Home and thought it was worth sharing.

Here are a few other tips that are pretty easy for saving money while driving.

- Make sure your tires have proper tire pressure

- Remove any extra weight from your car, check the trunk for starters

- Make sure you are using the correct gas octane that your car calls for

- This one will seem silly, but make sure your car is clean. Dirt increases friction/drag and thus reduces your gas mileage.

- Roll up the windows when at high speeds. Leaving your window open increases drag and kills your gas mileage.

- Never thought I would support this idea, but slow down. Higher speeds use more gas then lower speeds. More important is accelerate a little slower and you can see large savings for your city driving.

Arlington Heights Market Update (6/18/2008)

In Arlington Heights Illinois there are currently 463 active listings (20 lower then June) for single family homes with prices ranging from $199,900 for a tear down on Arlington Heights road up to $1,895,000 for a 5 bedroom 5 1/2 bath home. There are 64 homes that are under contract and over the past 90 days 95 homes have closed.

A decrease in inventory by 4.1% from June 18th is a good sign that the market is starting to stabilize. An increasing number of buyers are starting to feel this is the "bottom" and are starting the home buying process. Arlington Heights Market Update (6/18/2008)

In Arlington Heights Illinois there are currently 483 active listings for single family homes with prices ranging from $230,000 up to $1,895,000. There are 94 homes that are under contract and over the past 90 days 75 homes have closed.

Currently there is an increase in activity that appears to be a sign of the market leveling off. If the trend continues we expect home prices to level off and the market to become more "normal".
